who has a 600, and what rear end gear do you run? Also is the car set up for street or strip?

i recently put in a tko600 and my car has a 3.55 gear. it sucks. the power in 1st and 2nd is just not there, until it hits about 4000. it is supercharged and set up for street. i want to know what a good gear to run would be? thinking of a 4.10 but didnt know if that was to low or to go with a 3.90.

thanks

I have a 600 and run a 4:10 and its not bad, I drive both street and strip. If I'm not mistaken the 600 has a higher 1st and 5th you may need like a 3:73 or a 4:10 to help with 1st.

1st gear should be 2.82:1 instead of the normal Tremec 3.27:1! I did this same swap and my car went from 11.70's to 12.20's, was a street/strip car with 3.55 gears! Switched the rears to 4.30's but then was running out of rpm at the track! Good luck with the gear swap, its going to be decided by rpm/mph in the 1/4 mile!

Second gear should be very close to your old second gear. The issue is with first gear. It's a 2.87 first gear. It's not that much lower than what you had with a 3.35 in a T5 or a 3.27 in an older tremec. I would say jump up one step in gear to a 3.73 and let it rev up a little quicker. jmho. Also, third gear is also a little different ratio than whatever old trans you had.
