Currently I use axle straps on the rear and k-member to strap the car on an open trailer. I would like to get away from having to reach all the way up under the rear of the car to put the straps around the axle(usually resulting in ruining a perfectly good 25 year old racing shirt). What attachments or easy hook points have you come up with to make trailering up quicker?

Weld loops to the K member and the rear frame rails.

I had loops welded to the front and rear frame rails on my coupe. Makes tying the car down easy.

My Team Z K-member has loops welded to it for the front and I like he axle straps for the rear end.

I have loops welded to my rear end but nothing yet for the front. Here is a pic so you can see how it was done.

Do you charge extra for that?

I dont see how it could have come out any better with what you had to work with. Im completely satisfied, just wish I would have had you bend the whole thing from scratch, live and learn.

i wouldnt strap to the frame, the car cant move and can result in tearing the frame up, i have seen it first hand. tie to the rearend and k-member so at least the rear can move.

Here are some pic's of the tie down mounts I had welded on my coupe. They are made out of some plate steel.

Fronts were built to also bolt to the stock swaybar mounts...but I had to remove those since I'm in the process of mounting up tabs for a motor plate.

I really like the brackets...takes me all of maybe 5 min. to strap the car down on my open trailer now.
