injector question

gotta buddy with a 96 cobra with a kennebell, hes gonna get some 60 lb injectors for it, he needs the EV6 style injectors correct?...i kno for my 89 i needed the ev1 style, didnt kno if they changed them in 96 or not, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Now I'm no pro, but It appears that the higher poundage of injector you go with, generally they seem to have the EV6 connector. However I've seen '01 mustangs with the EV1 connector, that would tell me the 96 should be EV1. So, You probably need the adapters in the first link.

i have 60 lb injectors in my 89 for my turbo setup and they are ev1s, were not gonna do the adapters....ive gotta buddy with an 03 cobra and i believe his are the ev6 adapters, i just dont kno what year they switched over

A 96 should have the EV1 style injector as well. i don't think they switch to the EV6 until 99 or later.

I have 60lb injectors in my car and they came from a foxbody so should be the same connector. Just go outside and look at the ends lol

My '94 has 24# EV1's.... in fact they are out of a Lincoln Mark Viii of a later year.

Yes, the 03/04 cobras have the EV6 connector, and somewhere around 04 they swapped pretty much all the stangs to that style. Before 99 it was just the ev1 on the cobras and all other stangs.

Some ev6 injectors have ev1 connectors and some have ev6 conectors . For instance the new 30# motorsport injectors are now ev6 but have ev1 connectors . If you have ev1 but want to use a ev6 injector they also make adapters for them .

If they were ev6 style injectors they would have ev6 style connectors....I made the mistake of buyin ford motorsport 60lb injectors and they only had the ev6 style connector cuz at the time I didn't kno there was a difference

What Rocky said is true. I have a brand new set of EV6 style FRPP 24# injectors that I bought along with some EV6 to EV1 adapters since I expected to need them. When the injectors showed up I realized that I didn't need the adapters because the injectors already had the EV1 style connection.
