I just got my car all back together and fired up for the first time again a few weeks ago...It has just been sitting in my garage waiting to go back to the body shop to get the final touches done to it...

I go to start it up the other day and it won't fire...after a few minutes go by I realize I'm not hearing the loud-ass initial whine of the fuel pump.

I am running the Aeromotive controller since I street drive the car mainly...I figured this may be the problem so I bypassed this and hooked power direct to the pump and it still wouldn't turn on...

SO, has anyone ever taken one of these apart or have any ideas what the problem might be? I would like to think a $4xx dollar pump would be good for more than a couple thousand miles (especially running a controller on it since new).

Same thing happen to Rob Lewis with his A1000, also with a controller! I know Aeromotive had an issue with these pumps a few years back, what would happen is the gas would eat the adhesive that was on the brushes in the motor! Good luck with this!!

Hmmm...that may be why when I contacted Aeromotive he wanted me to find a 4 digit number for them...

Oh, This is the Eliminator pump (PT#11104) btw...

I'm with you man! Ideally, I'd like to get this one fixed, sell it and move onto the Magnafuel 750! No controller either!

This is your best bet, but you might run into pressure problems with anything less than a -8 return ( not being able to ge the static pressure down to 40) magnafuel instructed me to run a 10 feed and 8(minimum) return

I must have had a lucky A1000 pump I guess. I had 3 seasons on my A1000 pump using E85. I think a key is to use a good pre filter on the pump. I'm steping up my fuel system this winter with my switch to a turbo setup....going to be using a weldon 2035 pump next year.

I'm running their pro series filters before and after too! Hopefully their rep can help out so I can get my heap finished up!
