I met up with Rixxx93GT at Vandailia Range and Armory today to do a little shooting. It was the first time out with the Ruger LCP that I picked up last summer. I hadn't fired a round through it until today because .380 was too scarce and too expensive. Its essentially the same gun as a Kel Tec P3AT but with with some nicer touches. Over all its a fun gun to shoot though with the diminutive size you definitely won't be putting tons of lead down range before you get tired. I was surprised though that it wasn't tough to manage the recoil. Accuracy, well its not nearly as accurate as my Smith and Wesson M&P Compact but its also a third of the size and weight. It could use better sites but for the price and its intended use its hard to criticize it too much.

I just picked up a Keltec PF-9, so far love it. Its allot easier to carry them my Springfield Micro compact 1911. I went with the PF-9 cause I would rather have a round with more punch than a 380. Although I do think the LCP is a great CC weapon. Ive carried a buddy's before and it a very easy gun to carry.

I have had a Kel-Tec P3AT and P-32 for quite some time and really love them. Once you learn how to stage the trigger on them your accuracy will get much better. I can keep combat accurate with mine even using one hand and am pretty decent even from the hip with it.

That is what I'm planning on picking up, glad to hear it is a decent little pistol.

I know a few people who carry them. Cant hit the broadside of a barn at 50 ft but for up close encounters during ccw carrying they should do the job

I have/have had a few different carry guns, I always default to the lcp, I'm not a big fan of the caliber, but I love the size & weight. Check out Stoner Holsters for a back pocket holster. They are in Middletown and go to every Bill Goodmans.

I used to have a .38spl derringer before my kel-tecs... in the right package anything can be intimidating to shoot.

If any NKY ppl want to try one out they're welcome to put some down range with either of mine. People argue that Kel-Tec or Ruger are greater than one another, but it's pretty much what one has the other doesn't and some people like one over the other for those reasons. I've not had the ruger but I'd say they're just as nice now that the price has come down.

The LCP is very nice as is simply disappears in a pocket like no other gun I have tried. Been looking to pick one up but Sig has announced the 290

If it's small enough for the pocket at a decent price it could be a strong contender.

As far as carrying, the LCP is great. I was actually impressed with the accuracy. I was expecting worse than what it was.

I carried a Glock 36 (.45acp single stack) for a few years, I kinda regret selling it now, but would rather carry in the pocket over anything on my hip. I still think an 8-shot .357 would be nice for the console on trips.

I carry a revolver (S&W 642) because I'm not going to put my life in the hands of a semi-auto when the shit goes down.

That Ruger LCR looks pretty nice for what it is.

Has anyone shot a Diamondback DB380? Looks like a mini glock and has some decent reviews online. Ive been looking for a good summer carry gun when my larger stuff would be likely to print.

I carry a LCP almost daily. Easy to forget you have it with you

I just picked up the bodyguard .380 to carry which is similar in size to the LCP. I was carrying a glock 26 that was uncomfortable to carry. This bodyguard you can carry in sweat pants no belt it’s so light. It also has a laser on it all though it’s not a great selling point for some. I personally like it having a laser for the times she takes it and I carry the glock.
