Embarrassing to say but I don't know how to figure this out. The rear end in my car has been swapped out, or at least that is what I've been told. Is there an easy way to find out what gear is in it, other than jacking the car up, marking drive shaft and wheel, turning the wheel and counting the revolutions of both?
:dunno:

thats not that hard as long as you can count. or get online and look at a chart for mph vs RPM and write down rpm in like 4th gear at 35mph and look it up.

Well, see that is another problem. It doesn't have the right size tires either, so I'm kinda stuck with the rotation count.:eek:I was hoping someone had a better way.:o

If there is anything I have learned...Microsoft Excel is a powerful tool and somewhere someone has already created a spreadsheet that you can punch in things like tire size, rpm, etc... and it will solve for the unspecified. Let me do a quick search for a spreadsheet and I may post back asking you for some info. (Resident Certified Microsoft Excel Expert)

Welp, yeah...the one factor I'd need is MPH..but the speedo is off....

This may help, if not your method may be the best practice.
