Wondering whats the best bang for the buck? I just got a clean 90 Notchback, was wanting some input from others. Which way to go for the best bang for the buck. I have a stock 4 banger car auto & a 71 BBF 460 in the garage should i go with the 4 banger turbo or BBF please help.

460. And I know a lot of people dont like the stick shift but I would convert that too.

From a guy that has done the big block conversion I would go the 4cyl turbo route. It will be cheaper and easier and in the end be a more friendly daily driver.

I would say it depends on your plans/goal for the car. Are you planning on a 1/4 mile killer? Street coner carver? I like the idea of the turbo 4 build, it would be different then the everyday V8 swap car and would handle worlds better than the big block swap. But there is no replacement for displacement! Not everyday you see a 460 under the hood either. Think it matters most what you want the car to be in the end.

Anther 2.3t vote here. That is my next project. Seems a little different and there are a few guys on here that have been down that road that I am sure would offer advice if you run into something. I have been researching a bunch of stuff for my future build, just need money to fund another mustang or find someone to buy my 95 vert without taking a total bath on the deal!

Thanks i'm a street strip / 1/4 mile kinda guy, never tried the parking lot races, but does sound interesting. & the 3.5" shinnys on the front wont handle that very well, LoL. Still confused got mixed opinions here, still curious which is cheaper to build & i realize i'm along way away from a respectable/ fast car.

I'm doing the street strip turbo 2.3 route. I vote for that. It's cheap and fun, and different too. My goal is 350 rwhp already have the coupe and the turbo, just need to buy the rest of the turbo stuff from stinger.
