steering rack bushings

Im trying to install a uni-steer rack kit on to a new UPR kmemeber for a fox mustang. I've installed the bushing into the steering rack but the hole seems to be to small to get the bushings / rack to install on to the metal bars that the rack installs to. Is there any chance there is some oversized bushing i need? I know it should be a tight fit but i just dont think this will go. Ive tried to grease the bushing and get it started with a rubber mallet already...
any help would be appreciated!!!!

Do you have a stock rack? I have a upr k member and my stock rack went right on then I got a flaming river manual rack and it went right on also...

the rack is a unisteer kit. its just like the flaming river manual kit.
I'm wondering if the kit somehow came with the incorrect bushings? I talked to upr and they said that the mounts are standard outer diameter.
