This is the beginning of the ol notchback project. I had some pretty heavy rust around the spare tire pit so I decided to cut it out. I will be welding in some square tubing for a frame and flat steel for a floor. A fuel cell will be taking the place of the OEM gas tank. I have done some minor work under the hood, but this is the first real major thing. I have also started removing the interior. Interior plans include a cage, new seats, stereo, guages and whatever else I can sneak past the wife. Good times !

Middletown is the foxbody capital of the world ! Almost every unfortunate foxbody at some point in its life goes to Middletown to get completely molested. This fox is no exception. I bought it in Middletown, where is was painted Middletown grey (Primer). All of the stereo wires and several wires under the hood were simply twisted together and then....get this.....covered in that blue painters masking tape !!!! It's aggravating but funny at the same time. Metcalf Racing, it looks as though you are an exception to the rule.....nice Notch !

Ha ha ha ha ha.....that awesome ! This was the 6th fox I went to look at in a months time in Middletown. This was the only one that wasn't a complete rusted out piece of shit !!! Of course the sellers descriptions made them out to be flawless gems. I went to 18th street for one and was happy to get out of there with my life.:cool1: I wouldn't have even gotten out of my truck to look at the car if I hadn't been packin heat. If anybody reading this lives on that street....it's nothing personal.:D
2000gt, I am interested seeing how you are going to fab in the floor. I plan on using 16 guage sheet and some box tubing for framework.

No, it was a t-top gt that was missing several vital engine parts and had been wrecked in several locations. It took me approximately 3.5 seconds to advised the owner that it was a little too much of a "project" than I was willing to take on.

Everything in my new garage has an inch of rust and steel dust on it. The garage was clean for a little bit anyway.

Disregard my last post. I didnt realize that my wife had accidentally erased my pictures of my most recent upgrades. I tried to erase the post but it looks like it went up anyway....whoops. I did have it up for sale a couple years ago. The first guy that looked at it said he would take it and gave me a $100 deposit to hold it. Around a week later he's asking for his money back.:punch: I could have kept the hundred but I felt bad for him and returned it. I took that as a sign from the car gods that I needed to give her a full restoration. :D The trunk is finished and I am currently taking all of the suspension off. Its then off to the media blaster to blast the entire car. Its always for sale though. I just need to keep something in the garage so the wife doest try to park in there.

Pretty much if it comes to middletown its probably getting a big hood, a nitrous kit, and a set of welds and then the entire world is too scared to sit next to it. Lol
