So I have been needing some wider tires on the back of my ride for some more traction, my question is what's the widest I could go without rubbing? The car is an 88 Fox, lowered a bit, I believe the fenders have been rolled a little bit, and the quad shocks have been taken out. I'm looking to go with a 315/35/17 not sure if they'll fit without rubbing. Here's a pic of the rear with the current 255 17's. Thanks!

your probably going to have to beat the helll out of the wheel well... thats a wide tire. i think 275 or 295 is a all you can fit

I'll be running a 315/35/17 on a 10.5" rim. With the fender lips rolled and the quad shock and quad shock bracket removed there should be minimal to no rubbing.

I might just stay on the safe side and go with a 295 then.

ive got 275s on mine without the fender rolled but i did take the quad shocks off and beat the inner fender in a little bit, sometimes they do rub if u take a turn too fast, ive got a 89 gt btw, but 295 would prolly be pushin it if u didnt have the fenders rolled id imagine
