Ok so I went and picked up a complete GT-40P motor yesterday. I bought it CHEAP, and solely for the top end for my GT. My plans for the top end is to do some port matching, and clean them up before a spring swap and install. My question is, what gaskets are reccomended for these heads and intake? Should I go for a 1250, or should I go for the 1262's and spend days with the grinding bits? Let a brotha know, I plan on starting on these in the next week or so. All info is welcome, thanks in advance!

just match them to the 1250 thats all i did, spend more time on the exhaust ports than anything.

Match to a 1250, make sure your intake manifold port is not larger than your head port, stay off the port floor of intake and exhaust, don't touch them at all. Stay away from the short radius unless you are a very experience porter. They work really well out of the box as well. A good 5 angle valve job is worth more than porting. Make sure to use the P specific headers. If you don't port them, use a stock intake gasket, works well.
