Anyone swap a Terminator engine into an earlier car? (Like 96-98 Cobra)

I just did one a few months ago with help from Matt Johnson. What all are you needing to know? The one I did is a 96Gt with a 04 cobra drivetrain minus the roots blower

I have a 03 Mach 1 engine in my 98. Has an 01 cobra intake. Fits nice with the exception of the stock cobra hood touching the rubber boot off of the throttle body. Id go with a different hood.

why are you doing this if you dont mind my asking? your car has the teskid block. which is lighter and will support plenty of power. in your other thread it said you were looking for 500 at the wheels. and i would wait for a second opinion on this, but that should be easily achievable with your current motor and a power adder.

Just do forged internals and a blower and you will meet your 500hp# easy and will have a shit ton of fun doing it.

I swapped a 01 cobra motor into a 99 edge car... wasnt too bad. Idk that id fuck with the termi motor over it. You would need to do fuel tank and lines if that was your choice... Personally Id find a 99 or 01 cobra motor, maybe build it a little if you want.. or if not, just toss a blower on that and have fun.

I put a 98 cobra motor in my 93 fox then pulled it and put it in a 65 f100

Its not 100% as it is from a 94-95, but the concept should be the same as both cars would have to be re-wired:
