I was gonna say, the 15s are hard to sell. I managed to get $300 out of the set i had and they had brand new never touched the street Kumhos on them that i paid over $400 for...i basically gave the rims away. If you had 16s it would be a different story.

My friend Rick has the 16" versions on his Aero-swapped '79 Capri... I def. love those versions, Both are getting harder to find.

The 15s can look good on the right car but with the trend for bigger rims these days nobody wants 15s unless they're drag rims. The ones i sold went on a "period correct restomod" this guy was building...he wanted old school aftermarket rims. I had my 15s for my Merkur...you might wanna look into selling them to that crowd, since they love 15s.

The last time a guy asked if i would sell them i told him i'd sooner sell the car than the wheels because it'd be easier to find another car than another set of ARE 16s.

I keep tryin to get rick to sell his to me... I want to restore em, and find centercaps for them. I alsmost fit the centercap for my slots on my mustang ii in the 16's... almost fit! The hole needs opened up a couple thousandths to get a nice american racing cap in

There are a bunch of companies that made these rims back then, and a few of them are so similar that if you don't know what you're looking for you won't be able to tell them apart. With my 15s, two of them were real deal '85 Saleen rims, one was an ARE and the other was a Riken but only one of them had any real discerning difference from the rest and you had to know what to look for to see it.

That's the thing...you might have and didn't even know it. I didn't know on two of mine until i started stripping them and got down to the factory white powder coat.
