The stang died on me on my way to work today in Ross. When I got off work I went and bought a battery and as soon as I hooked it up the damn thing tried to start. I did not have the key in the car. I did not tough any wires changing the battery except for the pos and neg so I am not sure what is up...any ideas?

Just checked it and it looks to be plugged in.. When it gets warmer maybe I will trace it and make sure it is not broken somewhere else.

sounds like the starter solenoid stuck on its on the strut tower or bad ignition switch

Pull the little wire off the starter solinoid if the starter turns on when you hook up the battery That solinoid is stuck closed and is bad. If it does not start when you hook up the battery plug the little wire back on the solinoid if it starts then you probably need and ignition swith

Pulled the little plug off the starter solinoid, hooked up the battery and tried to start again. As soon as I touch the battery terminal the starter kicks on. Stupid piece of shit autozone solinoid. Time to order a motorcraft one.
