So I installed a Team Z K member and finished up the rest of my suspension stuff this weekend. However for some reason I have hardly no threads on my rack going into my outter tie rod end on the drivers side. There's probably an inch or so threaded into the tie rod end. The passenger side has plenty though. I turned my wheel just to make sure it was centered and not offset to one side versus the other. And I get 3 turns either way lock to lock. I am running a power steering rack. The same rack that I ran on my stock K member. Really dont want to go out and spend the money on a bumpsteer kit. Is there any longer tie rod ends out there for another year mustang or something that I could use to solve this problem? I am alraedy using offset rack bushings but they are in the 6 O'clock position. I could turn them to offset it towards the drivers side but that isnt going to give me much though. Any help would be great.

seems like the rack location was welded a bit too much to the pass side then the drivers. Do you plan on lowering the front any? If so a bumpsteer isn't a bad idea especially since you drive it on the road quite a bit.

No plans on lowering it at all. Somethings definitely not right though.

to me it sounds like you should even them up then take your steeringwheel off and turn it to the right position. a guy came into my work on here with the same problem. so i aligned it and he went home and moved his steering wheel. maybe you turned the spines to far one way one the steering shaft?

Here are some pics I took. Look at he boot on the rack in relationship to the bolt in the control arm. And then compare each side> Therack is shifted more to the passenger side than the drivers side. I also took a pic of how much thread my tie rod end is threading onto the rack on the drivers side. It's exactly one inch. I called several places today on bump steer kits and was told that wont help me because the rod ends are designed off of stock length rod ends. I spun my offset rack bushings as well and that did nothing.
