Just curious if anyone has had any real world experience with these cars on fuel requirements. I have a '97 Cobra and trying to make sure I dont run out of fuel on the dyno...and I know I am pushing my limits.

The car has a Walbro 255 in tank pump, previous owner made over 500 rwhp with the pump...with nitrous. But I am going turbo and want to get the most power I can with the Walbro in tank 255 and an inline walbro 255 possibly. I am "shooting" for approx. 500rwhp this year just to keep things simple before getting a larger fuel system. Car has an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and stock rails/lines as of now. Anyone have an idea of where I will be at with this fuel pump setup? Or what the best bang for my busk is before getting to radical with new lines/rails/tank?

Thanks, Rich.

should be alright with that. Could always add a BAP to up the voltage to the pumps and push more.

While that would work, there is just simply too many points of failure. With boost and pump gas, there is no room for error in the event the BAP or one of the pumps take a shit at WOT.

yeah I have heard good and bad about the BAP. Honestly, I have herad that the BAP is the better option really, fuel pump failuer can happen just as easily as a BAP failure, right? And I have never heard of a BAP failing and causing damage (but I am sure it has happened). Obviously, the BAP is not the cost effective method, nor the easier way.

I have had the GSS340 in tank and a procharger inline pump that supported 500 rwhp with gasoline. the problem started when I swapped over to E85, nfw it would keep up.

Looks like the secret is the new Aeromotive Stealth in tank 340lph pump. $170 and it outlofws the 255 Walbro by a large amount, especially at higher fuel pressure. So popular that they are on backorder lol. Oh well.
