So after 13 years I have pulled the heads off of my motor to let mike go through them. Big thanks to Dave for letting use his garage while his car is away. To bring some of you up to speed. The motor in my car was built by Mike 13 years ago and I really haven't done anything to it but drive it and change the oil. At the end of last season Aaron noticed an oil leak while we were at kil kare. I believe the oil is leaking from the rear main and was getting onto the clutch and flywheel. I also think that's why my car was slowing down and wouldn't get out of the hole. So hopefully this week the bell and clutch will be out and a new seal in. I have also bought a billet steel flywheel, sfi bell and have a spec 3 clutch on the way. As for the heads. The valve seals were destroyed and the springs have seen better days. So along with the valve job those items will be replaced as well. I am strongly thinking of changing intakes while I'm at it. That will depend on if I can sell mine or not. From seeing the heads its apparent I was giving up power. I am really anxious to see what kind of improvements I get with the new stuff in place. All I know is a few of you na guys better step up your game this season

Well this past weekend saw a few things get done. The rear main has been replaced. New flywheel, clutch, and bell are in place. Tranny should be back in tonight and the car back on the ground.
Sounds like progress Steve. What blowproof bell are you switching to?

I got a really good deal on a Mcleod from another member on here. I wanted a quick time but the money just wasn't there for it.

Got the car on the dyno today. Made 340 hp and 360tq. That was in 96 degree heat and 46% humidity. Made peak power at about 5500 so I think an intake swap will be coming this fall for sure lol. Just so you know the difference in the power between before and after. On Colleties dyno car made 317/317. On mikes it made 291/296. So, dyno to dyno comparison we are looking at 49 hp and 64 tq gained from port work, valve job and a little milling. I'm very happy and the car runs like a beast. Thanks Dayton Performace and Mike. Nd everyone else who pitched and helped and Dave fro lettin me store my car over there.
