I have gt40p heads, performer rpm intake, fresh 306 with gurdel. On3performance t-70 kit. Heard that the gt40p heads flow good up to 520 lift but have seen alot of positive feedback on the b. What do you guys think?

Well its more a budget build or I would look into a custom grind. What would you run cam wise?
With a t-70 kit, I would run a stock HO cam with 1.7 rockers. Wil make more power than your stock block can handle. I would not run a b cam with forced induction.

That sounds like a plan! Any other options?

f-cam or custom grind
I miss my f cammed motor, I heard those are good boost referenced cams too? Any of you guys tried any of these combos and have horsepower estimates?
Here is some video of Mike Field's 85 turbo car. At this time, it had a stock cam and stock shortblock. The trans was a top loader and it was messed up, the reason for the slowing shifting. It's hard to see the time but it was 134 mph. If I remember correctly, it made more mph with the stock cam vs a TFS stage 1.
My argument would be that a stock cam will allow you to make more power than your block can handle. Save the money and spend it on something else.

why not? yougotjunk had a b cam, stock block and a 76mm and it made 550hp then sold it to craig metcalf and he turned the boost up to 20lbs and it made 619hp. the car is still around today on the same setup.

Wow, in the 10s as well. What heads and intake? I was considering a bigger cam cause the intake is good for 6500 but had planned to not shift higher than 6

Stock cam with 1.7's or the F cam are the favorites of most turbo guys who don't buy a custom cam. Robs car made good power with the B cam but who's to say it wouldn't have made more with a different cam?
The 114 degree lob sep of the F is closer to most custom grinds.
My custom cam is 115.

Thanks, im gonna get my final opinion from the tuner and see what he thinks. Its looking like a f cam, maybe try some different combos this summer and see what works

Agreed, I have an On3 kit, stock shortblock, gt40 turbo swirls, xploder intake, B cam with 1.7 rockers, accel 44's and have made 460/498 to the wheels @ 9psi on CRT's dyno...Annihilate the 275-50's on the highway @ 75 mph:D
