I usually dont let to much get to me , but im getting a little aggitated with this situation. Last week , i recieved a letter from child support enforcement agency saying i was behind 623.45. I have my reciepts from where i have payed every month for the last 2 years as i am self employed. I called my local office(highland county) and talked to my case worker. She says to me " your payment for last month was recieved on the last day of the month so i didnt post till the next day in turn showing you didnt pay last month. I ask where did the rest of the rearage come from. She told me that when i was on unemployment , that i wasnt paying the full amount . First time i have heard of this rearage, almost 2 years later from the time it was happening. She told me that unemployment determines the amount based on your benefits and she has no control over that. I ask why i wasnt notified of this why it was happening and i would have paid it. She responded with " sir , we have thousands of cases and cant look at everyone on a daily basis, we just dont have the manpower." Lets fast forward to today , i get a letter threatening the witholding of income and that im in the rear 653.41. Part of that is my monthly payment of 380 , that i just paid. I request an adminstrative review , because i have asked for a pay audit and been denied on that request. Sorry for the novel.

Ouch , sorry to hear that. I just want the lady to do her job and tell me where the error occured and why. I dont have a problem paying it but i wanna know why it happened and why it wasnt prevented. I agree its a joke .

Highland county... Enough said!! I dealt with them assholes for years and always got shafted. Then I got custoday and guess how much my ex pays... $0!! The judge there when I asked about it said "sir you should just be thankful he is coming to live with you"! Wtf??? I hate that county!

I had a similar thing happen to me, but in Clermont. I had my CS reduced by a court order (they were taking 65% of my pay and I was still falling behind). Anyway by the time my work got the order and sorted it out I had payed like 3G's over. It took them forever to finally get it lowered in both systems. I never did get a refund. They kept the credit and said they will adjust my support as my kids get closer to 18. I was pissed. They are tying up that cash for years, when I really needed it. I don't complain about paying it, just the manner it is administered. All that service for the 2% fee you pay!!

I receive it from my ex in florida. Hamilton county is where it is through although I live in clermont now.there is always somthing to deal with about it though. I receive 297 a month I feel bad for you kevin that's a high ass amount of money. Thank god u will be done with it next year.

Dealing with child support now. My sons mom owes over 5500 bucks. Has not payed anything in 17 months. Getting them to do any thing short of taking her drivers license is like pulling teeth. They try to serve court papers and she dont answer her door. but I still heve to let her take him every other weekend. But if that was me I would be typing this from behind bars!

i have to pay also it sucks but really suck bman is my g/f's ex hasnt paid her in about 3 years now on her 2 daughters and owes her around 18000 and is still out doing what ever he wants and they dont seem to want to do anything for her

I cant really say anything as i nailed my first ex wife to the wall when we got divorced...I got custody of the kids and i made her ass pay me..... My wife now well soon to be ex pays just about $2100 a month in child support...

I dont have $1,100 left over a month for myself and I'm a damn adult. That's sad. Actually $1,100 a month covers my house, bills, and groceries. lol.. Why does a 17 year old need that? I'd be locked up if I had to pay that.

i must be one of the few that never had many issues. when i was in my car accident, they lowered mine to the minimum because i wasn't working and suspended til i could work

caught it back up, ended up paid ahead, and they ended it 2 months early and sent me a check back for the overage that was left

I have a friend that his sister is on the other end her ex is a piece of shit and never keeps a job . She works for the state and has a pretty decent job so they never go after him very hard since they get none of the money . If she would be on assistance they would be all over his ass after there money . There son is 15 and I doubt if she has ever gotten more than 3 years combined child support for the 15 years.

Wow my wifes' ex has been in rearage of over $10k for years. He gets a job they find him, he quits the job. Later works somewhere else, they find him and start taking child support out, he quits his job. The bum has never spent a night in jail. I have a friend in the same county gets injured and off work for a month and was never late before this. They threaten to send him to jail. Makes no sense.

I know how this is i live in butler county i pay almost 700 a month in child support and last month with me not even switching jobs it went up 50 bucks and they cant even give me a reason and i can hardly even see my kids... I personally think child support is a joke and wish it for anyone the whole process is dumb and a joke and to get something done about anything its like talking to a :bangwall:
