Where can i find dowl rods in different woods? All i can find are typical crap wood rods.

You might want to check out hobby central or maybe joan fabrics. I know Lowes and the Depot sell them but seems like they only carry 1-2 different kinds. Good luck

I'll try to get back to you after I talk to my brother. He builds just about anything that can be made from wood.

What are you wanting them for, David?

Call the Woodworking shop on Main Street in Hamilton. If he can't get them he could make them for you.

Well i'm one of those weirdos with stretched ear lobes, and i like the wood ones but i figured if i could find nice wooden dowls i could make my own instead of spending $25 a pair on them. If i end up spending a lot for a dowl it wouldn't make much sense though. I got a poplar rod and i'm gonna see how it goes with that.

How do you get the smell to go away when you stretch them? Mine was 00 and they smelled like ass no matter what I did.

Make sure those things are smooth! Can't imagine what a splinter would feel like in the ear hole. I got 2's in mine, try to wash around my lobes and move mine back and forth in the shower. I don't think the smell ever goes away, I can still squeeze some funk smelling stuff out of my eyebrow. That has been out for 10 years now!

Wood is actually one thing that'll get rid of the stink. Wood and bone both absorb the oil that comes from your skin and your ears won't smell. I've got 1/2 inch in mine. I've got in the habit of putting deodorant on mine and i haven't had the smelly ear lobe thing in forever.

Yeah Ive heard that before but I never tried it. I just gave up on it! Couldnt hug the woman without her bitchin about it! I may try that. I can still get a 6 or 8 in them.

Wow mine were never that bad. Try washing your ears with a good face soap that'll wash out the oil. I think the bigger they get the easier they are to clean since i can literally wash inside the hole on mine.

Menards can order a lot of lumber in different species try them.... it may be the first request for raw materials for body jewelry.

I'm going to get my ears gauged so I can stop blaming it on the dog. "No babe its gotta be my ears."

Lightweight and sporty, I like it- non sure how it will effect the stank though.
