I think it may not even have to from a mustang as long as the plug is the same.

What makes it 98 only? I dont need any other part for the pump assembley other than this part. Its going in a fuel cell and will be modded anyway.

yeah any year will probably work. But I know that the 98-04 uses the basket in the tank. I might have an extra you can have. I will look.

Ok I checked and I don't have an extra one. The only one that I have is in my stock GT Tank that I have for sale. As it looks O'rileys Auto Parts carries it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

For $143 I wont be having a fuel level gauge. Ill buy a whole fuel pump assembly off ebay for like 30bux lol.

U didnt say that. I have few to choose from if u want to look but they are not out of a 98.
