Well to make a long story short had a laundry list of disastrous failures on the first go round with my new engine. It puked on the dyno and that forced my hand to pull the motor back out. After pulling the engine I found where the valves were hitting pistons, lots of bearing damage from the dizzy gear coming apart. Oh yeah, that fiasco was when I went to pep and they gave me a dizzy with the correct part # for a steel geared dizzy , but what was inside was a dizzy with a cast gear that came apart in my fresh motor. But yet I still persevered! I said " F" it went to Jegs and picked up an M-6007-X302 Ford Racing Motor. I should have done this the first go round but for some of you who know what I have been through on this Moostang you know that I am a glutton for a punishment. We got the motor on Monday and installed her on Tuesday and finished up Wednesday. Fired her up on Thursday. She sounds damn good . My wife may soon kill me for this million dollar Mustang, but it will be worth it. After reviewing all that went wrong in my first go round it appears that that mutha was doomed from the first crank. With any luck I will put some miles on her and maybe hit test and tune this summer! All I have left is to tweak it. I got a lil idling issue to play with but after all the other crap this sounds like small potatoes. Anyhoot ,I think the crate motor was worth it. It even included spark plugs, oil filter , and dipstick. Oh yeah and some Chapstick for my chapped butt!

Those pics hurt to look at. Definitely some carnage there. But the new one looks purty! Good luck with it man!
