Put a tubular k member and tubular a frames on a 89 mustang sat. Discovered on the last mounting point for the a frame, the one closest to the firewall, doesnt have enough room in the back for the bolt head or the nut, A frames are Granatelli and dont know the brand of k member, anyway the diameter of the nut and bolt are too big to fit. Whats the fix? I have some ideas but would rather hear some of the ways its been done in the past or if anybody has even had this problem, thanks.

i ran into that with a qa1 and i ground down the head of the bolt all on one side and the had to tap it in with a hammer and put the nut on the other side and it fit so tight that you dont have to hold it with a wrench. hope this will help out.

This is exactly what I did with mine too.

Is the bolt itself to large (diameter) to go thru or is it just the head? Should be able to grind down the bolt's head (as the above are saying) Otherwise, sounds like you need a bolt just a bit smaller in diameter.

Diameter is ok, the head was too large, took them to work with me today and milled the side off of each bolt, thanks guys for the input.
