What gear would be best behind a mostly stock 91 lx with an aod?

i had a 93 Mustang put a 4.10 and a 2800 stall and i liked it,and still freeway friendly

I like 3.73's for general purpose use. 4.10's for a weekend toy.

Another vote for 3.73's here!

Old advice I got about 10 years ago was 5 speed = 3.73, automatic = 4.10 however that being said, I have an auto and went with the 3.73's and couldn't be happier.

I ended up picking up a 98 gt that already has a few mods and 4.10 gears .

If it already has them I would leave them be. There really isn't much difference. To me the rpms down the highway of 4.10's is a bit much.

and dirtydog theres is a difference between 373 and 410
410 with aod,OVERDRIVE
