i have a 95 gt 5 spd 5.0 with a 373 gear and im wondering if anyone knows what tooth speedo gear i need to get to get it back to normal. its now running at 75 when im doing 55?

I use my garmin nuvi 265wt,,,,,,just an option !!

I think you need a speed call or dakota digital unit to fix it as you shoudl be beyond mechanical limits.

Late model resto sells the retro fit kit for sn95's. It replaces the shaft driven gear with one of a foxbody (I don't recall the tooth count) and it also replaces the cable driven gear. Marketed specifically towards a 94-95 car with a gear bigger than a 3.55.

I did the swap in my car when I had 3.73's installed many moons ago.

FYI, you have to pull the tailshaft of the trans off.

ok i was hoping i didnt have to pull tail shaft i seen that kit on there. but didnt know if any one else had a diffferent route. well looks like im ordering that one tonight.

I could be way wrong but isnt it just a 20 tooth gear fix this issue?

There is also an 'electronic' option that you can adjust

$120ish... might be able to find cheaper on ebay or something... just another option.

That is what the dakota digital unit does and it is about $65 last I bought one.

yeah i think im just goin to go with the kit from lmr i really didnt want to split the tranny but looks like its goin to be the best route for me.
