I cant thank Rick enough for what he did for me at Thornhill tonight. On our 2nd time trial run my car acted up and died on me half way down the track. Being in 1st place on points right now I couldn't afford to have this happen. Without any hesitation Rick said that I was driving his car the rest of the night. I didn't want to, but both him and Shannon(kennebell cobra) were persistent with me that I do. So Rick crossed his name off the list on the UMTR sign in sheet and we erased his car number and put my car number on his car and off I went. I was on a roll until the rain moved in. It was down to 4 of us left and they called the race due to the weather. What a class act Rick is. This is what Stangbangerz is all about. Friends helping friends. Once again thanks Rick and thank you Shannon for everything you guys did for me tonight.

No but I was powershifting the hell out of it. I kept short shifting it and then on top of that I had my races won so I didnt want to chance breaking out so I lifted. We only dialed it in at 11.20. Other than a couple laps in the pits I was going in blind getting into his car.

Congrats Jack!

Was cool to see you go rounds in a car you have never driven:bigthumb

Ricky is a great guy and would give the shirt off his back to anyone!

Jeff, that was the 1st trip to the track since all his issues, he was a little nervous so we had shift points/launch set REAL low. He did trap 125.25 granny shifting in 3300' of air:eek:

We think its something electrical. Not sure yet though. We are going to take it to Filmores tonight and see if it acts up. It died on me last night when I hit 4th gear. I had no power at all. It was like running on 6 cylinders. I clutched it and threw it in neutral and coasted the rest of the way down the track. The rpm's hung at 1500 until I shut it off. I started it back up and it idled fine and drove back to the pits fine. We had like 15 minutes to look it over and nothing stuck out and slapped us in the face. So right now I am clueless as to what it could be.

125...nice mph...it's got 10's in it.

Steve...check all your ground connections...ignition,coil,computer. I've had a loose ground give me fits before...took forever to find and figure out.

Yeah thats what I was going to do. It was hard to really check anything last night cause we had no time. It was dark out and all my wiring is hidden in my fender well. I was going to start off by pulling my chip and cleaning the J3 port on the computer with some alcohol on a Q tip. And then go from there. I know his car has 10's in it. That thing pulls like a freight train from 4500 on. I was praying that I could catch a red light off someone in a round and run the dog snot out of it. But I think I needed some more seat time in it. Definitely a fun car. I think if we were at a TNT I could nail it after a couple passes. I think Ricky can get it if he powershifts. He knows the car better than I do. And he was granny shifting it and pulling damn good #'s in 3300' of air last night.

Small world... Yep, made some passes a few weeks ago, went 11.48@118 granny shifting the stock t-5. I am hoping for a 10.999 once I get some electronics and build a good trans.

My MSD BOX did this to me after a good blast down the interstate on a really hot day after driving the car for about 45 minutes in stop and go traffic. Box got hot and damn near killed the car. After it cooled down I was able to plug it back in and go.
