I got one just like it. I found ammo at the flea market on 71 towards columbus. I don't remember the final cost but it was about 20% less than wal-mart and my gun didn't like the wal mart ammo.

5.56nato=.223 rem. I think technically the 5.56nato have a little more powder. Maybe they weigh more but both interchange perfectly. Half the ammo I got was .223 and the other half 5.56 nato. The 5.56nato are louder, like these guns need anythign to make them hurt your ears more. hearing protection definately required.

It's my understanding that if you have a 5.56 nato chamber, you can shoot either .223 or 5.56, but if you have a .223 chamber then you should only shoot .223. My understanding is that the 5.56 is about .030" longer than .223. Which is why it's ok to shoot the shorter .223 in a 5.56 chamber, but not the other way around. YRMV.

So the obvious choice is to have a rifle chambered in both.

The 5.56 nato produces a lot more pressure in the case as well compared to the .223. It is not a good idea to shoot the nato round in a .223 chamber!

I already have them sold to one of my customers when I decide to sell them. He was drooling over the AR.

My Bushmaster is exactly like yours except mine has no brake on the end. Makes for a hell of a light show in the evenings, or at shooters. Loud too!!!!!

Mine makes a serious flash in the dark as well.
