Headlight switch

Went to turn the head lights on a 98 lx, the whole knob and about a 6 inch rod came out with it.. Do I have to replace the entire switch,, or can I get just the rod and knob,

Maybe the switch is bad. To remove the rod you have to hold a button on the switch itself and pull the rod straight out. But if yours just pulled out,just jam it back in there and be a little less hard on it and it should stay in.
