Always get mixed answers on this.... Where should I have my bung welded in for my wideband O2 sensor ??
I have longtubes on a 5.0 in a fox body, supercharged if that matters.
Driver side ?? Near the header collector or up in one of the individual exhaust tubes ?? How far from the cylinder exhaust port ??
Thanks

I always use the rule of easy to get to and as close to the engine as you can get.

I have always heard 8-10" past the collector.

do you have an x pipe or not. or go big and get two wide bands and we can weld two bungs in it.

I put mine on the drivers side opposite of the stock one in my long tubes.

The collector area in one of the lt's at a angle so that the sensor is angled slightly down. I guess this is so any exhaust condensation doesn't sit on the sensor.

Fox cars don't have rear O2's do they? I put my sensor in the stock rear O2 location on my 1999. I don't guess that applies in this senario though?

My 93 has two O2 sensors

If they have rear O2's then, I would put it there.
you want an even sample, driverside if you are only running one for an extra sensor. the #8 cylinder always seems to run leaner than the rest. i have seen them in every tube for tuning but after the collector is best for even sample
