1989 Mustang LX ( PARTS CAR )

I have the remains of a 1989 Mustang LX I would like to get rid of. It was a factory 5.0 V8 5-Speed car. The engine, transmission and wiring harness were used for another project. It does still have an 8.8 Rearend with 3.73 gears and rebuilt Traction-Loc under it. The front struts are new also. Both front fenders and hood are in good shape. Both doors are decent with minimal rust scaling on the bottom lip. They are manual doors also ( No power ). Usuable shape but would need some work. Still have good glass and mirrors . The rear hatch is solid but has some rust scale in 2 very small places (See Picture ). Rear LX bumper is still in nice useable shape. I think all exterior moldings are laying inside the car. The chassis itself is junk. Strut towers and floor boards are gone. It does have subframe connectors on it if someone wanted to put in the effort to cut them off. The windshield is also good. Most of the interior is with it , but is not installed. It is all smoke gray and most parts are in decent useable shape. Seats need cleaned but aren't ripped up or broke down. Door Panels for manual windows are actually nice, just need cleaned up. Rear plastics are fairly nice. 5 speed pedal assembly is still intact too. The dash and instrument cluster ( 85 mph Speedometer ) are all in good useable shape. It is sitting on 15" turbines that are in pretty decent shape . Tires have a ton of tread but are pretty dry. There are plenty of other little small parts that are in good useable condition. All and all it could easily be parted out for more than asking price, and might be if it doesn't sell quickly. I just need it out of the way. $600 OBO or possible trade for other Mustang Parts . I do have an open ,clean title for this car . Thanks

Do you have the fender extensions for the front fenders? (the bottom fiberglass peices where the nose mounts to the fender)

$500 OBO. I will start selling piece by piece if the whole thing isn't gone by the weekend. I have had a lot of interest in the Rearend. It will have to be the last thing off the car if I end up parting it out. The car is at a buddies house and has to be able to be moved around. I would prefer to sell complete or trade for other junk though!

I just went and messed with this car a little bit and found out it actually has 3.55 gears. Not 3.73s. Somebody also boxed the stock control arms. Did a pretty decent job really. The seats aren't as good as I thought. Decent though. The piping on the drivers side bolster is wore through. I found the front fender extensions. They are in good usable shape. I also got some pictures of the doors and engine bay. I will load later. Strut towers are the worst I've ever seen!

This car no longer has a Transmission Crossmember , But I think I have 2 or 3 of them. $30.00

I went and organized all the parts that were laying inside this car. Most of the interior plastic is in nice shape. Seats are useable but not nice by any means. I threw away some odds and ends that were not useable. The pedal assembly has been sold. The steering column is in nice shape with a good turn signal switch and good steering wheel. Still has keys in the ignition!

Rear bumper is sold now. Quarter windows are supposedly sold, just haven't been picked up yet. If you need anything off of it just throw me an offer. I'm ready for it to be gone. I would trade what's left for some misc. Parts. I need a set of upper & lower control arms, front coilovers, and X-pipe and catback for a foxbody. A rear end girdle and a 5 lug conversion also.

Yep, They are still under it . Right now the car has to stay mobile. I will strip it down to a rolling shell and sell it that way , but right now it has to be mobile. Its sitting in front of my buddies garage right now and he has to be able to move it when needed. Hell, the wheels and shell could be scrapped and get alot of the purchase price back

Now it is time for this car to go away. Still has the hatch on it and header panel. All other bolt on parts are gone. It is a rolling shell. The dash is in it but no column or cluster. Seats and 75% of the interior are still laying in it. I will make somebody a deal on the rest. With or without all the interior parts or whatever else. Anybody wanting the rearend will have to take the entire rolling chassis. I would trade it for other parts at this point. Just ready to free up the space

Some jackass wanted to buy the windshield and attempted to remove it himself without proper tools... You can guess how that went. Will trade the rest of it for other parts.
