As long as responsible folks take this seriously I agree. Police can't be everywhere. Sorta looks to me like we are going back to the old west days.

But there will always be people who ruin it for everyone. Sometimes the last thing you need is someone toting a gun w/o a permit, and claim they have one...

As it stands only criminals carry guns in places where its illegal so the only thing that really changes is that law abiding citizens will now be able to defend themselves against the criminals if the need arises.

A little "frontier justice" might be some good medicine for crime and criminals.

Clayton Luckie is my neighbor. I wonder how he'd feel about it if we were at the grocery store together, some thug comes in to rob the place, shit goes sideways and he opens fire. Wonder if he'd like his friendly neighbor with a CCW to have had to have locked his gun in the car because he isn't legally allowed to bring his gun in. I know it doesn't exactly fit the scenario for this law, but still.
