I am thinking of getting some used 19s for my S197 stang that do not come with tires. What expenses other than buying the tires would I have? Mounting, balancing, alignment....anything else?

just my .02 unless your getting a super deal on them i'd try to find a rim and tire deal somewhere......... I bought a set of 18's with out tires for my car which I just had to have right at that moment..... ended up spending about 500 more then if i'd gotten a package deal. But if you've gotta have them you're on the eastside there's quite a few guys on here that can mount and balance tires not sure about 19's though good luck to me nothing sets a car off more than the way it sits and some slick rims.

im am very green when it comes to rims and tires. will 19s be an issue when mounting or create any other problems for me? they're off a 2011 mustang

I'm not really that familiar with "your" car I've only had Fox's but get with any of the tire guys on here, John at Michael Tire in withamsville is good, i think there are a few guys that work for tire discounters...... I bought tires from a Tom (Zo6 vette or something like that is his screen name) and had my bud Bobsgt mount and balance them for me but again i'm not sure if Bob can do 19's or not I don't see why not but you never know till you ask. What rims are you considering......

I figure I'll pick them up now then once I need new tires I'll throw these on and get free balancing, mounting, and alignment from Tire Discounters.

That's not too bad of a price for just the rims but have you checked the price of tires? This is what I meant, so look at the american muscle link for a staggard set of rims and tires..... I just took the front tire size on the american muscle ad (just as an example) and looked up the tire size on Tire Diso****ers site..... which there's one guy who's on here don't know his screen name but he works for TD in eastgate so i'm sure he could help you out some. but 19" tires arent cheap.

after looking AM over and comparing prices, by the time I buy used rims and new tires seperatly, I could buy new rims and tires of my choice at AM....bullet dodged, thanks!
