The person who murdered my sister in cold blod was sentenced today. She broke up with him and kicked him out of her house with police assistance. After a few days she allowed him to come over and get his things that were there. He pulled out his pistol and shot her in the head then shot himself to claim self defense. He tried to claim she shot him then he took the gun away from her and he shot her. The detectives proved his story was incorrect almost instantly. On the bright side the world will be safe from this murderer for the next 9 years and then he will be fully rehabilitated so that he will no longer premeditate murders and kill innocent people who are saying something he doesn't want to hear.

Makes me think a couple people might be worth killing if all you get is 9 years of vacation at taxpayers expense. I didn't realize electricity for a few minutes cost so much more than a decade of care.

Thanks guys I just don't understand it. The guy had to have some pull . Are the prisons so overcrowded they don't have room for a murderer? I know my sister wasn't perfect but she did not deserve this. She was breaking up with him to get away from all the drinking and fighting....

9 years is a long time to have time added for being bad while hes in there. Its also a long time to be effed in the a on a daily baises. lol. If he has that kind of temper and if he thinks he is so much smarter that every one else he wont make it out.

Howard Williford Junior was sentenced to 11 years in prison for killing his girlfriend, Debra West. The incident happened on Iroquis Drive on June 18, 2010.

Williford will spend eight years in prison for manslaughter and three years for gun specification.

yes that is him, he went by Ed. he got 11 years with 2 counted as already served for his time in jail.

As much as I would like to find the words to say that might express my thoughts and ease your frustration and loss, I must admit I am at a loss for words over this rediculous plea/verdict (not sure which it was). Just keep your head on your shoulders though and in 8 years time remember you have more important things like your wife and kids to tend to than taking vengence out when he is freed, as tempting as it will be I am sure. Sorry for your frustration regarding this matter.

I guess I should mention we were not really close. She is technically my step-sister and is considerably older than me. She lived on her own before her father and my mother ever met. She was family and it is a tragedy. Especially with all the problems she was trying to be a better person and he shot her for it. He knew he was going to do it when he went over there. I think maybe the judge needs to be someone who has dealt with loss like this to be fair. I do not feel this verdict is fair. I have seen people get that much time for much lesser things. He plead not guilty he should have fried.

He took a guilty plea deal to avoid the trial. He'll come out a with a criminal education superior to that of any university.

He doesn't deserve ditches, that requires a shovel water and food paid for by you and me. He is only owed a few ML of Sodium penathol.
