I have a 93lx and when i start it it goes from about 800-1300rpms for about 30 seconds looking for an idle. after its jumps around for a bit it will sit at about 1k. then when you are driving and push in the clutch it almost wants to die out. trying to avoid getting it "tuned" again because everytime it goes in it comes out with a slightly different problem. i do have an sct chip installed. i replaced the tps which seemed to help a bit. didnt know if there was anything else that can be done besides getting it tuned again. thanks in advance for you help.

Try cleaning the IACV.

If it got better cleaning it, I would just go ahead and replace it.

You can also try unplugging it. If it quits "hunting", it is definitely the IAC.

I've cleaned mine before and it cleared up the problem, for a while. It started doing it again, so I replaced it and never had another problem.

Good luck!

Make sure your speed sensor harness is plugged in as well. Its under the car and pugs into the side of the tranny where your speedo cable is. The wires should be green and orange. If its disconected or the wires have melted it will give you those same issues especially when you clutch it or slow down to stop.
