Why is it such a hard task for some people to route and run electrical wires ? ..... Many years ago a man invented connectors to make this task a much safer and easier process that will last alot longer then ODDLOT brand black tape. Its 1 am and iam sorting through the engine harness and all these magical add-ons. I have decided that tonights's phrase is WTF iS THAT AND WHERE DOES IT LEAD :) ......

I've spent many a night working on my first convertible playing that little game. Last owner wired LED fog lights directly to the battery with an alligator clip :screwy:
Although my jeep is a little bit better. The last owner didn't know how to wire the system correctly and I've got tweeters that are louder than the rest of the speakers combined  Other than that, there's a couple toggle switches left behind from the original owner who actually knew what he was doing. So Wiring up some new lights shouldn't be that hard

had a little spare time workin on my ride and decided i would see where all those wires led to in my engine bay. lol. there were hot wires from the positive post just laying on the towers among many other custom jobs goin on there. disconnect and tape em up. some ppl are idiots that is for sure. and i am sure i havent seen the half of it on my car, i could only imagine yours. jk. :D

When I did my frame rails I also had the dash out at the same time . I pulled a whole kroger bag out of add on bullshit. I'm. Sure the previous owner will be sad to know my car is no longer wired for underbody neons, colorchange guages and whatever else all that shit was. I also went through a box of 50 butt connectors on that project.

Did some more of this on the old F100 today. Good GOD...I'm no wiring genius but I can follow diagrams and at least make it correct! The PO had hooked up an electric fuel pump, tied into the cigar lighter, marker/parking lights and windshield wipers....explains alot. The ground wire for the pump was 4 pieces of wire, 6-8 inches long each, connected and ran to the bolt for the jack hold down under the hood.

I just found a laminate wire with wire nuts in my car, attached to the battery......... these are two things that dont belong in a car unless you are taking them home to work on your house.
Oh and people that try to install aftermarket head units. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TAKE IT TO SOMEONE OR BUY THE DAMN ADAPTER HARNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fuck you if you don't own a soldier iron and use it. I think some people get a rush from speed some from sex , and some from risking burning your baby (and hard work) to the ground.

I am afraid to pull the head unit at the moment simply because when i pulled the console a big rats nest of wires dropped from under the dash ... I am starting to think that most of the add-on stuff is using speaker wire..... When Foxbody and i went to go pick up my vert he had to cut my driver rear speaker wire just so the seatbelt would retract enough to use it... Its not HORRID but just alot of fixing i need to sort through...
My car had factory fog lights but since they put the saleen bumper on... it covered the factory lights .. They left the wires all the way to the core support unplugged them but ran a loose wires set up right next to it with a toggle switch and put aftermarket foglights in the saleen bumper....... I wouldnt even go into the "clutch override" switch under the carpet.....
Regardless of my bitching .. iam making progress toward keeping this thing around for another 26 yrs

lol. yeah kinda the same situation with my vert. the abundance of custom wiring in my car is insane. the sweetest is the 1970-old model toggle switch hangin outta my dash by the stereo to turn on and off the whole audio system. and i wonder why the battery is dead after letting it sit for two days without starting it. lol i am terrified to pull my stereo, hell even the amps and speakers outta the trunk. but it will be coming out for sure. butt connectors and electrical tape. with the occasional wire nut.lol

Lmao.... kroger bag full... nice. My 89 was like that, kinda.
I guess I am lucky enough to have enough harnesses around here to make an unhacked car wiring harness. I can't stand half assed work

after working until 3am i having have 90% of the interior wiring complete... Everything was going smooth until i was tracking down the original tach wiring to do away with the awesome sunpro tach on my steering column.. I follow the wires to the factory Dizzy harness which was almost completely melted.. So tonight its time to build a new harness.... This might explain hard start...Rough acceleration, and crazy miss at times.....
I have bags of zip ties THIS IS WAR !!!!
my favorite fix of the night was that they mounted a aftermarket fog-light switch next to the factory fog-light switch..... That had to go bye bye.... so now the factory switch runs the fog lights :)

Not that my wireing is all hacked up but i would just like to delete some of the shit i dont need. I hate wires hanging out all over the place. Its like a hott chick with a bush hanging out of her bikini.
