Which gear would be the best for a 94 Gt 5.0, 5-speed small cam,stock airbox drive it everyday , even on freeway...other mods soon

373 0r 410 ?

i bough a 373 today from dirtydog,think it was your old one i was gonna get, but no money. i can trade to a 410.......but i do drive it alot...hows your car coming Brain

I've got 3.73's in my 94 GT, and its the perfect highway gear in that car. First gear is not useless like with a 4.10. And it makes it a lot easier to get up to speed. My car does 2k rpm's @ 60mph with that gear. You WILL however have to order the speedo gear correction kit from late model resto to properly calibrate your speedo. You have to remove the drive shaft and tailshaft of the trans, and replace the shaft-driven gear, and the gear on the end of the VSS. Its all cake though. Hardest part is getting the pin back in the shifter block in my opinion.

Thanks for the info, i will order that speedo gear today. gonna put gear in one day this week and gonna lower it some, sits so high now looks like a monster truck....lol

i found what i need thru LMR speed drive and driven gear kit w/clips
83-95 5-speed w/373

That sounds like the one. Although I thought when I bought it, it said it was specifically for 94-95's. Maybe its the same part # in different sections of the book.

I remember when my car was stock with tri-bars and that monster truck stance... rode real well though. Now its a firm ride w/ my eibachs and koni's
