Sorry to hear that! It seems the Jobless is contagious, lots of people right now are without work.

Real sorry to hear that. Been there twice before myself. The first time was 9 months after buying my first house. Hopefully you have gained enough experience to quickly land a job elsewhere soon. Have faith fellow stanger. There are more people praying for hard working folks like you without jobs who are looking hard for work than you could ever begin to imagine (I pray for those like you after giving thanks for still having a job every night I sit down to a meal). Hope the thought of knowing that helps a bit as you try to rest at night. I have truly felt your pain and walked in your shoes two times over.

Have you called the bank that your truck is thru? Some banks will work with ya if you get laid off and you tell them right away. They'll probably let you make intrest only payments til you become employed again. Remember, they will gladly take the money over the repo headache.

put in applications right away don't wait. most companies will not even consider you for employment if you have been out of work for any length of time.

Very true! The long period can be seen as someone that is not employable and then they don't want to take the chance.
Only exception is a long break due to going back to school.

Hang in there. I lost my job on august 4th but have since realized it was a blessing in disguise. A lot of good people on this board can be a great resource.

I was at my job for 15 years. Started there straight out of highschool. They closed the doors a year and half ago. I had worked my all the way up to super visor. Did the unemployment thing for 10 months then a good friend got me a job. Main thing is dont let it u down. Keep positive thoughts. It will work out.

if yu have a degree and a resume prepared, send it my way. I work for a financial firm, and we are in a huge hiring phase. You don't need a degree in finance or business, just a basic college degree

This was posted on our board not too long ago. Hope this can help somebody out....
We are looking at expanding our inside sales force here at Keen Parts. In case you don't know about us, we are a Corvette parts and accessories store in the Cleves, OH area. We manufacture and sell parts for Corvettes from 1953 to present. We have a good amount of walk in customers, as well as phone and internet sales. You can check out our website at KeenParts.com. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in cars. Some travel may be involved as we do go to a number of Corvette shows throughout the year. Being able to speak English AND Spanish would be a big help. If interested, email your resume to me at kevin@keenparts.com, drop it off at our store, or fax it to me at 513-353-3997. Our address is below. Pass the word around if you know anyone interested! Feel free to call with any questions.
Thanks!

Good to hear that you're going back to school. It's never too late to learn. My wife has gone back to school after she got laid off. They held her to a no compete clause she had signed so she couldn't seek a job in the field that she was in. Still she was tired of it and wanted a new career.
Money's tight but I know it will be well worth it in the end.
