wont start!!!! please help!!!!!

Ok my dad has a stock 93 GT. He drove it to work which is about 25 minute drive, just before he left he put some anti-freeze in the car. Now for the duh moment he didnt lock down the cap and it fell off so the car starts to over heat. he makes it to work. puts water in it and while driving home it does the same thing, no cap on radiator... stopped 2 times on the way home to put water in it again, but in the last 4-5 miles home the car dies and now it just cranks but wont start any ideas as to what is wrong??

Not sure if it has limp mode or not. Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting it. It may wipe out all of you trouble codes so you may want to check the codes first. Im not saying this will fix it but its worth a try.

Have you started checking for the typical things........ fuel and spark....... I know from personal experience that a stock 302 will take some heat so unless he ran it in the red for a bit he should be o.k. if not perfect time to upgrade :O)

as far as i know he hasnt looked at anything on it yet. we are going to get into in on saturday, i was wanting to get some ideas before we started. thanks for the help!
