79 chevy 4x4 short bed

1979 chevy short bed 4x4. Has a few inch lift. I have had this truck for many years now. I dont beat on it and I dont go off road with it. It has been used to move motorcycles and quads. I sold my odyssey fl350r so I dont need a big truck any more. It runs good and stops good, shifts good and has been a great truck. I have gone about 5 hours straight and had no issues. That being said it is far from perfect. The oil pan gasket has a drip, the lower raidiator hose drips. Just a drip kinda odd. (that just started about a month ago.) It doesnt over heat and it has never over heated since I have owned it. Has a crack in the pass side of the windshield. Been there for about 4 years now. Good heat, good tires, 4x4 works great, inside is ok. Dash is cracked. I have a seat cover on it but the old man bench is still in very nice shape. Frame and floors are solid. Body is rough. Surface all over and fenders have holes. Starts up on the coldest days and has never let me down. I dont drive it much so i think its time to part with the hillbilly. I have looked on c/l and other places selling things like this and for 1500 you dont get much. Most stuff isnt road worthy. I am asking 1500.

What kind of mpg did this beast get? Auto or manual?

lol. Its an automatic. Dont know what kind of mpg it really gets because the speedo doesnt work. I have the gear for it to hook it up but I am not pulling the tranny to put it in. I use my gps for a speedo. I know on the highway it was average prob in the 20's or so but city driving is a bit different. I never used this as a daily driver. I always have 3 or so cars so i really never have a dedicated daily driver but with something like this its not the gas you use to get somewhere, its more the fun of the journey... or some crap like that.

I also have a black truck box and a metel trunk full of god knows what, that you can have with the truck. they are both full of misc truck stuff but I never went through it because theres prob spiders in there and I freaking hate spiders.. lol Make an offer and come get this stuff. Out of curiosity how are the lower door jams?

what part exactly are the lower jams? The lower sill is rusty but where the door pins are is fine. The doors shut right and dont sag. 1300 is a good deal on this old beater.

Just referring to the lower are that buts up to the back of the cab. See a lot of them that are rotted away.

I am really more in the market for a SUV (Bronco or K5) but I like the looks of this truck...just not sure it would serve my needs.
