I am going to build a H/C/I motor and don't know what injectors I need.i Cast GT40 3 bar heads, anderson b31 cam and an explorer intake 75mm throttle body. Will also be running a walbro 255 pump

If your getting a tune you could run 24s but with that combo 19s will be plenty.

19's and stock meter? The heads will have some light port work and a 5 angle valve job dont know if that matters. I just dont want to run it too lean.

24's really woke up my red car Caleb. I have a set for the short bus, but been thinking about going for 36lb'ers since I keep wanting to go turbo on it. Figure they would be good for low boost later on down the road. Just food for thought since I know you have a charger sitting there for that saleen lol...

I doubt that combo will break 300whp. Stock injectors are good for around 330whp. I'd go with a stock meter if your on a budget. If you don't mind forking over 500 for a tune go with the 24s and a meter. But I wouldn't run 24s without a tune, you'll be waaay rich and possible wash the cylinder walls.

It took me using the entire Trick Flow kit with the Stage 1 cam to get just over 300 hp to the rear wheels with a five speed. With the combo you list I would guess you are more around 250 hp to the wheels. If you get some work done to the heads as you state, you might get as high as 270 hp or so.

So 19's would be fine for your set up. If you are going to upgrade later I would skip the 24's and go straight to the 30's.

I am going to put a T trim on it later. I already have 42's but still need a meter and a supercar pump or a boosta pump.I also still need to a MSD 6AL, coil, distributer and tie up the frame. So I figure for a little bit im going to have to go N/A that's why I am asking. We have a baby on the way so im going to have to buy parts little by little. Any guesses with the heads cam and intake what it could be capable of in the quarter. I would like to see at least a mid to low 13. Also might do 4.10's wih the N/A setup

N/A. Low 13s or high 12s depending on how well the car works.

I have seen similar combo's put 285 to 310 rwhp. I would under estimate a gt40 combo. 19's are best ticket. Old kennebell cobra's car make 370 rwhp with gt40's and a systemax and 24's

If you have 42's already, why not just use them? If they are Ford injectors all you need is a Ford MAF to go with it and anyone using the SCT stuff to tune should be able to make it run like factory- with a ton of headroom for growth.

My car has 60's in it and runs just fine at low throttle and at idle RPMs. I don't understand why everyone is encouraging you to put tiny injectors in there after you stated that you already have 42lb injectors in hand. Worst case, it might cost you an extra tuning session, but in the grand scheme...

You want to push injector to max before upsizing it. Kind of like a carb. Before you run out of jet sizes. And most guys are on budget. Just my .2cents

I think for now ill just stick with the 19's. Until the blower goes on of course. But im still a ways away from that stage. And brandon I know a guy who has a set of 32's or 36'sa for sale if your intrested. He would probably let them go cheap. O and my 42's are Holley

Exactly what i was thinking. You can tune an injector down, but you damn sure cant tune it up. If you got 42's, throw em in and have a tune done. Call it done, when you do the boost, you dont even have to pull the injectors to swap. Just bolt your stuff on and get it re-tuned! If nothing else, bring that charger over and I'll throw it on the short bus lol. Damn I want boost sooo bad!!!

Yea, I don't get the whole max out the small injectors first comment. It's NOT a Holley carb. Again, my little 281 engne idles perfectly with 60 lb injectors. I just don't see why you'd want to push small injectors to the max by choice.

My brother had a blown 357 fi'ed car with 60's in it. We could cruise it to the local car shows, and then go make a lazy 10 sec pass with it, on pump gas... It's all in the tune to me. Besides, since when do we max out stock stuff when we can go bigger and have room to grow into it?!?

If I can I would like to stick with the stock injectors if they will do for teh H/C/I setup. Then I would only have to pay for a tune once I get the blower on it. If I even put the blower on it:rolleyes:
