Anyone know anything about a F250 speedometer and chips etc.

When we had tranny problems a few weeks ago, everything works in the gauge cluster except for the speedometer.

We were told the person that installed it that we needed to disconnect the battery and something else and it would reset itself. I am now ready to take of thisand that person is unreliable about answering text and phone calls that we are forced to seek outside help.

If anyone has a clue what else besides unhooking the battery that I need to do, would be much appreciated.

Make sure the speed sensors are connected or that no wires were mashed/broken.

When I say the speedometer does not work, I may have mis-spoke. It does jump up to 70 when you get going about 40to 50 and then levels back in a minute or two but is not accurate. When you slow down, it will fall to zero.

It has ABS and the light is not on. The PCM was not changed.
