I've got a mighty demon 650 on my 351w and no matter what I do I cannot get the damn thing to lean out at idle. I've turned the idle mixture screws all the way in with no response the idle actually smooths out and speeds up when I do. I've changed the metering block gaskets and bowl gaskets, jetted it down and I'm at a loss. I wish I'd kept my holley hp. This thing is nothing but a shiny piece of shit!

Start with the basics. Did you check anything out on the carb before you put it on the engine?

Yep I took the bowls, and metering blocks off and cleaned out all the metal shavings that demons are notorious for. There still may be some in the metering block that I missed. I pulled it off the car and plan on going thru it again tomm.

Does not look like it. I think that's the problem.
