Well, after the cruise in I got a burr up my @ss to get my car ready for fall. Outside of a service, it needed a new blower motor. So I realized that the dash has to come out for this job, which is BULL$HIT!!! So an afternoon in the garage after work, and here is where Im at now...

Good thing is, it's getting its carpet shampoo'ed, and a complete cleaning of the interior. Which is something it's needed since I got it. I'm also doing the heater core, and evaporator while I'm at it too. So it's costing me almost $200 to do a damn blower motor lol...

Looks like you did alot more work than needed. I used a bungee to hold the pass side of the dash up high enough to work the heater box out to change the heater core. It only took me a couple hours.

Wow it looks like someone set off an IED inside your dash. I've never taken a dash out of a fox, and I think I'm glad I haven't seeing this.

Lol at Yellow! I've taken them out before Dedpedal, but once I got to looking around I noticed some ass hat busted the heater core cover, and I figured since i was in there I'd take it all out and scrub it very well. I also wanted to do the evap and core too, so game on... Hopefully this is the last time it comes out, unless I cage it that is lol...

I did the same thing as Dedpedal. I only removed the right side of the dash and wiggled the box out and under. Although I didn't want or need a/c so I cut the two evap pipes coming from the box, which helped.

Do you need a new heater box? I have the one from my 88.

^^ Thanks buddy, but I found one locally for CHEAP! I'm gonna go get it after work. I really only need the heater core cover, and the blower wheel. But the part store seems to want almost $80 for a wheel lmao.

Well I got a whole other dash in nice shape, and a complete heater box for $55 local lastnight. So I'm set on that. But while I'm in here, I wanted to replace the evap core. My question now, is do you have to split the entire box in half to get it out? Thats the only way I can make sense of getting it out. If thats the case, I have another idea for the swap, but not gonna tell lmao. Any help is appreciated.
ha. i have a guy that will do a heater core on a fox for 50 plus parts... Thats how I get it done.

Hey sean you got a number for this guy .
I do. His name is anthony. I talked to hom for goldenpony and he went up to 75 to do the swap. His number is 513-833-3400. I have used him for years and there hasnt been anything he couldnt fix and the prices are great. He has another job so he does this on the side so you have to be patient. Tell him sean murray gave you the number.

Are they similar to the stangs? I think I could cheat one in a stang in a couple-3 hours, but I did mine right. Replaced everything I could in there. Hell, I bought a complete extra dash, and made sure my ducts and all were perfect. Then cleaned it all up just to make it that much nicer lol.

Not sure on the 87-93 Stang but would say yes on 79-86 . Both of us are pretty fast paced workers and usually get better when together on something . I did use air tools and have 3 Snap on drill drivers to attach different things to .
