got this 86 dropped off (horsepowers) his long project in the making is one stepp closer,deleted the door handles and locks,also deleted the rear hatch lock,antena hole,went with the new zo6 black,it's cold black is you can get,this car i actually clearcoated twice,came back out the next day and wetsanded and recleared to get a slick black mirror finish,3 coats of high glamour high solids clear just don't get no slicker then this... wheels kill it but he's got some charcoal powder coated cobra r's that will do the trick,did i mention it's blown:cool1:

Wow!! Car looks sick Chris. I didn't think the body could get that straight. Can't wait to see it in person. When I was talking to you earlier today I was in detroit coming home and when you told me you had pics of it on forums, immediately I was searching the net on my phone in rush hour detroit traffic to see it. About caused a wreck but it was totally worth it! Been making this face :D ever since.

Thanks Kenny. It does seem like forever ago that you coated the wheels, probably cause it was. Been dragging this project for to long. Think I have the motivation needed now to finish it. Should look bad ass with the wheels. As soon as it gets put together I'll post up the pics... :D

smoked all the lights,the only 4 eyed car i've seen with smoked headlights,did tail lights and all other lights,restored the quarter windows nice!!!

i hit them with 180 on a da sanded out the pores hit them with flex primer time consuming but they look nice once there all done,i got 4 hrs in the two

That's the route I was going to take. Thanks for sharing! I know there are people that use the flexible bondo but that seemed like overkill to me.

Awesome looking car! How do you get into the car with shaved handles and locks? Remote operated? What if your battery dies?

Most of those kits come with an acuator(sp?) that mounts underneath the car somewhere for situations as your battery dying.
