i have a 95 gt with stock heads, (for now) x cam, explorer intake, 30lb injectors, mass air for the 30s 70 mm tb with the timing set at 10 deg btdc when you start it it wants to rev up to about 3500 to 4000 rpm then dies if you play with the throttle you can get it to idle, but after it idles for a few min. it revs back up and dies, all of this is with the spout connector out. Am i leaving it out to long or what? thanks for the help.

Find somewhere to put it on a chassis Dyno.

Those injectors are way too big for the mods u have. You need to get it tuned.

As long as the tuner can adjust for the larger injectors,it will be fine. The injectors I have in my N/A 331 would make you sick. But it runs fantastic.

95 GT is a whore when it comes to messing with calibration's on the EEC. Having it tuned should clean it all up.

On a side note,my 89 had E-cam,intake,full exhaust and some other odds and ends and it ran just fine on the stock 19 pounders.

All the stuff that's on it came with it, the stock 19s and stock maf were lost before I got the car so I'm kinda stuck. I have talked to a guy about tuning it and he told me that the larger injectors would not be that big of a deal that we could tune it with them . This is so much different than the 89 that I had, it had an f cam and a cartech upper with a truck lower with exhaust and stock injectors and it started and ran great no tuning needed.

+1 for sn95 5.0 tuning being awful!

My recommendation would be to have it tuned by someone who has experience with sn95's. I had mine tuned by Adam at S&M Motorsports. He gets two thumbs up from me.

I am a stang guy through and through regardless of year, but mark my words, I will NEVER own another sn95 5.0. There are too many quirks with them when you start changing stuff. I loved mine when I had it, but it just needed too much attention for me and got me too frustrated to ever own another one.

Good luck!

Also, IAC's and broken (rotted) vacuum lines are both known to cause idle issues... Might want to double check all the vac lines as well as IAC. Also would suggest cleaning the MAF if you haven't in awhile. I would check those things then if those pass, best option would be to chip and tune...
