Over the past year I've gotten more into evil black rifles and just finished up builing my second AR platform gun. They are suprisingly easy to put together with a minimal amount of specialty tools that I had to purchase. Here are a few picks of the one I finished putting together last night. Can anyone tell what is different from the standard AR-15?:coo1:

Removeable carry handle. The mag looks a little longer than a standard 30.
Oh and a standard A2 has a fixed stock. Heavy Gi barrel. Bigger trigger guard?

How did i do? Im looking from my phone.

Magpul trigger guard and carry handle are correct. So is the m4 stock. The mag only holds 13 though.
I'm pretty sure a 5.56 will not fit.

just curious how much it cost to put it together.......... a buddy of mine just bought a bushmaster ar with a red dot for just under 600.

that is what they consider a sporter, no dust cover, no forward assist, just a bare bones ar. The s&w's seems to be a quality piece, but i would buy the regular m&p ar15 if thats what you are after.

I've got about 600 in this one including the ffl transfer fee for the stripped lower
A regular mil spec m4 or a2 I can piece together for 500 to 525.

you seriously put that together for 600 bucks? those .410 uppers are half of that anywhere i've seen recently! not questioning, just props. I just got rid of my saiga 12 gauge, and all I can say is semi-auto shotguns are bad ass

Thank you

I bought the upper from classic arms. They are 349 plus shipping. Getting everything for the 600 took some time. I spent a long time looking for stuff to go on sale. I got the m4 stock and buffer tube assembly for 60, lpk for 60, lower receiver for 90 and the trigger guard for about 12.

Funny, I have also been looking at the same 410 uppers. Have you fired it and how reliable is it? I have been waiting on reviews. I just want to know how it operates after it starts getting hot. Let me know fella.
