I'm not going to post about low ballers. But how about the people that offer you a fish tank and a model car for something you hold near and dear to your heart. I was just offered a 1982 honda z50r in trade for a wrecked mustang with a good motor and another complete motor and tranny. Plus more extras. I'm not so insulted but come on.

So what is the weirdest, most off the wall trade anyone has been offered.

Mine was literally a fish tank and die cast cars for a set of American racing wheels off my old 06 mustang.

I was just offered a 1984 International Harvester flat bed w/ a 9.0 diesel for my sons 4 wheeler. Since I'm only asking $1k for the quad it is probably a fair deal but the thing is flat out huge and I have no idea how long it would take to sell.

I had a guy offer me an unknown .22 LR for a $800 camper. Not because it was a fair trade but because it would be a lot of fun! He claimed the rifle was a very expensive one because a pan shop offered him $700 for it. Refused to give any valid info on the rifle and said it came from an unknown source....Yeah I will pass on the stolen $75 rifle. Just chuck it in a dumpster and walk away quickly..

Exactly. Those are my favorites. They ask u 150 question request 100 pics and u never hear from them after they say they want it.

i was offered some bull riding stuff on a quad i was selling.i traded the quad for a dirtbike and i swear the same guy called and offered it on the dirtbike.(not knowing it was me) gotta love craigslist

I have offered some crazy shit to people on c/l just for fun. I even go as far as to find pics of crazy shit or i stage my own crap and take a pic of that. I have offered a money green pinto wagon on gold daytons more than once.. lol Offered up tubes for mountain bike tires. Half chewed gum that has never seen a bubble and it was chewed by someone without teeth. A "vintage" pack of fruit stripe gum and a few peices of tidal wave gum. light saber from a 70's darth vader figure.... I could go on and on. Its a great source of entertainment for me. Not so much now but when I was laid off it was great fun. Ohh one of my favorites was a complete bedroom set from a holiday inn express I just stayed in. lol

dude. just try it. Like a working working iphone that you found in a port o potty. Offer that up for something like lawn furnature. Its pretty funny sometimes. Most times you dont get a response but sometimes you do and it gets interesting.

Sean your a unique person is all I can think to say. I actually got very lucky selling the 19" rims that came on my mustang. The chrome was getting pitted and they needed tires bad and some guy traded me a very nice set of 17" brushed aluminum Cobra R replica rims with decent tires. I think it worked out nicely. However you have to weed through all the spam and people like Sean.... :) I might get on and offer somebody a lightly used pair of underwear or a bag of aluminum cans lol....

I have not sold many things on craigslist, but the one time I did, I had someone try to trade me three, peeling chrome, 16" cobra r four lug replicas for my four, mint ford racing 17" four lug cobra rs. Straight trade. No tires on either set of wheels, so there was no benefit there. Not sure what that guy was thinking.

definitely going to offer someone a used iphone that was found in a port-a-potty. in trying to sell these motors, 10 people have asked what car they were in, when i proceed to tell them mustangs, they ask how much more for the car. so I say 100 bucks, then they ask what's wrong with it... to which my response is... "it's 100 bucks, that's what is wrong with it" if that doesn't spell it out sorry.

I just got offered a 1986 Kawasaki 600 streetbike for my 351 I listed on cl. Thank god I sold it already. I specifically put in the ad the only things I'd trade for and obviously the dude couldn't read or just thinks that bike is too sweet to turn down.

A kid wanted trade me a blown head gasket red 92 GT hatch, but my two favorites were

1) A 1998 Isuzu Rodeo (Apparently he was actually serious and got offended when I replied with a smart ass answer)

2) A KX250F (This kid would not leave me alone about the car until i told him i sold it)
