Sounds like a 3.27 or a 3.55

A 3.31:1 gear would be dead in the middle between 3 1/4 and 3 1/2 turns, but very unlikely.

Rear gear choice depends on what the car is going to do, the trans gearing, HP and TQ curves, peak HP RPM, and even what size tire. I find that a 3.73 is a catch all for a street/strip car though, but if you want to compete, your choices may be vastly different.

The car will mainly be a street car.

I'd say it's a 3.27. Pretty common gear for a 5spd car.

I agree... i think a 3.73 is like 3 and 3/4 turns last time i checked

i have a carbed 302 with headers, edelbrock performer, 650 double pumper holley, e cam, over under pullies, headers, msd ignition, and h pipe. Would the 373 be a better gear for me.

With a 3.73 and a T5 youll be at 2k rpm at 60mph. A 4.10 would put you at 2500rpm.

What would it cost for a 373
