Does anybody know of a good online ET calculator? All of the ones I have tried say that my car should be a half a sec slower than what it really is. Thanks.

Usually if you take your 1/8 and multiply it by like 1.57 or 1.58 that gives you your 1/4. Depends on the setup really. Faster cars are more like 1.56

Try this one Mike: http://www.wallaceracing.com/et-hp-mph.php, your car made 386 rwhp last time on the dyno right? so that's roughly 454 flywheel (which I used where it wanted hp in the 1st equation) Jim is right about the 1/8 mile calculations as the IHRA uses 1.56 and the NHRA uses 1.57 respectively to get the optimum 1/4 mile et.

As a side note the Class indexes of the NHRA are basically all automatic cars that are 100% optimized to run within a few hundredths on any track. That is also a gauge you could use to see how your car is working down the track http://www.nhra.com/competition/indexes.aspx

That's good info guys!! I wonder why the 1.56 or 1.57 don't add up for my time, I must have a big end car.

I wonder why the 1.56 or 1.57 don't add up for my time, I must have a big end car.Your car is in the range Adam, using 1.57 and 1.56 on your best 1/8th mile et of 7.08 you are off by only a .1 tenth and .04 hundredths respectively....if you shift it on the wood I'll bet you'd be on the money! ;)

Cool, thanks guys! Looks like my car is running to about its full potential just like you said James! I was mainly wanting to play with different weights to see what the car could do at its current power level. Problem is there isn't really anything left to pull off the car. I might gut the doors over the winter.

1320/mph=Optimum E.T. if gearing is correct. If your leaving e.t. on the table like I am 1320/132=10.00 its because I need more gear or you could have other issues like fuel etc... This is if you are worried about getting 100% our of your set up.

If your are trying to get everything out of your set up that's in your sig. Take 1320/122=10.81

Is that formula based on a sea level track?

Its based on your mph on that run, what ever the conditions are. Your mph is a product of your hp/weight ratio.
