Stock HO bottom end, Edelbrock heads 190/160 valves, Cobra intake, 42# injectors, Paxton SN-2000 6# boost, C-4 Trans 3800 stall, 3.73 gears.
I have a TFS stage 1 cam with 1.7 roller rockers. Best run so far 12.28@109 w/1.72 60' spinning. Had 1.6 roller rockers went 12.38@108 1.65 60' all stock suspension.

Looking for a better cam or should I leave it alone?

I have a F cam sitting here. Is it worth the change or look for a blower cam?

HELP.

I would look at the blower cams for that if you are going to change it.
What is it that you want to change the cam any way?
What is done to the suspension, that will effect your 60 foot?

Yes just want to change the cam, as far as suspension it's all stock rear control arms, shocks etc...

You could pick up a few tenths and better 60 foot easily by changing up the suspension. It wont matter how much more power you make if you can't get it to hook up off the line and it's a quick car already. You could put better control arms and put adjustable shocks to start w/ and you should see a difference right away.,Changing the cam will be more involved and may not see that big of a difference right away.
Just an option, not exactly sure what your expectations are.

Would like to get into the high 11's, needs a tune done it also, I would think. I was thinking a cam change would help. Maybe not just trying to see what others say.

Don't get me wrong but a cam and tune would make a difference. I would just change up the suspension first.

May want to look at the TFS stage 2 cam. It has nearly identical spec's to the old Anderson motorsports B4 blower cam.

I'd leave the tfs1 in it and get it tuned youre leaving a lot of power on the table. Then I'd so some suspension work. UCA,LCA , drag launch springs and 10way adjustables strange shocks.

Thanks for your input. I plan on changing suspension and putting torque box reinforcements in and frame connectors. Just trying to get input on a cam before I get it tuned.

I would tune it and put some suspension under it before buying another cam. Like everyone says , all the horsepower in the world is useless if you cant apply it to the ground.

Nice talking to you at Tristate last Saturday Loyd, I saw your 12.28 pass and if you can get it to really plant the tires ie: 1.5xx 60' times you'll have that 11 second timeslip.

As others have already stated, tune it then throw everything you can at the suspension as you are making good power. That will enable you to hook at any track within a few hundredths of your optimum 60' time and when you add more power traction will not be an issue.

Peace :cool2:

James it was nice meeting you also, I plan on suspension work, just looking for a little more out of the motor. TFS stage 1 I know is not a supercharger cam, I have a F cam was wondering if I should change it or buy a supercharger cam from comp cam. Or leave it alone, so far it's do the suspension work and get it tuned. Just hate to get it tuned and then find out I need a different cam.
